Street signs and a STOP sign against a dark background — Chandler, Arizona

JUST BECAUSE 22 PRESENTS

CONTINUATION

AN ONGOING VISUAL DOCUMENTATION OF THE REASONS PEOPLE KEEP GOING.

WHEN LIFE GIVES US A REASON TO STOP —
WE CONTINUE.

SCROLL TO EXPLORE

WHY CONTINUATION EXISTS

Everyone has a reason they almost stopped.

Continuation is an ongoing visual documentation of the reasons people choose to keep moving. Through photography, film, conversation, and storytelling, Just Because 22 documents the people behind the struggle — not to romanticize hardship, but to preserve the reasons they continued through it.

The struggle is part of the story.
It does not have to be the ending.

MANIFESTO

Some battles do not leave bruises. Some sacrifices are never witnessed. Some victories will never receive applause. Sometimes the victory is simply making it through another day. Continuation is not pretending that nothing hurts. It is choosing that the pain does not get the final word. We create for the people carrying weight nobody else can see. We document them. We listen to them. We build with them. And when life gives us a reason to stop — we continue.

THE CREED

WHEN LIFE GIVES US A REASON TO STOP —
WE CONTINUE.

Not because continuing is easy.

Not because pain disappears.

Not because everything works out.

We continue because the story is not finished.

THE STORIES

Reasons to continue.

Each story carries a number. Together they form an ongoing visual archive of the people who decided their story was not finished.

YOUR STORY MATTERS

What made you continue?

Continuation is not about having the most dramatic story. Sometimes continuing means surviving something enormous. Sometimes it simply means getting out of bed when staying there felt easier. If there is a reason you kept going, we want to hear it.

Submissions are reviewed before they appear. Not every story is published — and that is okay.
